TEMA CCI-ADVANCED

TEMA CCI-ADVANCED, Mühlbauer’s vision solution for surface inspection of all non-rotationally symmetric products like easy open, twist off, peel off, etc., tracks each inspection object from entering the inspection unit to the reject of a defective product. A suitable transport system which takes the caps/ends/closures from the production line and conveys them to the inspection unit clearly separated can be provided if required. Super-bright lighting systems warrant the perfect illumination of the inspection object. Supported by a sensor system and a rotary encoder the vision system automatically triggers the camera when the cap/end/closure is in the optimal position for picture acquisition. Inspection criteria are compound defects, scratches, dents, stains, defective rivet or ring pull, off-center or perforated membrane, dimensional deviations (outline, lug, corrugation), and curl defects. In case of a defect detected a reject signal is given to remove the flawed cap/end/closure. The reject process is separately monitored to ensure a 100% reliable inspection result.
