TEMA INSIDE CHECK is Mühlbauer’s vision solution for interior surface inspection of aerosol cans and similar products at line speed. Preferably installed in the can making line prior to the necker, the vision system inspects the can for interior defects like creases/wrinkles, scratches, dents, coating voids or blobs, stains, and foreign objects. It also detects flange defects and deviations of roundness. A clocked process is not required. Defective cans are rejected.
The compact inspection unit needs only one camera for a wide product range. Special optics enable maintaining a high image definition from the top to the bottom of the can with no interfering reflections. The lighting concept ensures a bright, even illumination everywhere inside the can. Ambient light is blocked off.
TEMA INSIDE CHECK is easily adaptable to different can heights and diameters. The inspection unit can be swivel-mounted for easy access of conveyor and vision system.
