Wuxi Smart Innovation Day 2015
Wuxi, China, 19th of August – Themed “German Quality, Made for China”, Mühlbauer invites the Smart Card and RFID Smart Label community to explore the future manufacturing technologies at the First Smart Innovation Day in Wuxi, China on the 22nd of October, 2015. Customers will have the unique opportunity to view the latest developments affecting the EMV and GSM card industry and to exchange experiences on a personal level. In the area of Smart Label we show the brand new DDA 20000 for RFID Inlay Assembly and the Personalization Line PL light with a record throughput of up to 20 000 UPH. On top of this the now finalized and brand new CL light will be available to be demonstrated to the RFID community.
Technology roadmap for future manufacturing concepts and equipment technologies
Mühlbauer offers the comprehensive product portfolio for the card and smart card industry. The state-of-the-art technologies range from card body production, smart card production up to card personalization and mailing systems. The complete production chain will be presented during the Smart Innovation Day 2015.
Thanks to the modular concepts and the limitless interoperability, the systems can be customized according to individual requirements. Application fields are special EMV or instance issuance solutions, as can be experienced live.
During the event, moreover, the new process MB TeConnect for dual interface card production will be officially launched and presented to premium customers for the first time. The process is applied in the new MB DICL 5000 system, which is a compact in-line system designed for the high-volume production of smart cards and dual interface cards. With up to 5,000 cards / hour it boasts the highest throughput.
In the area of RFID Smart Label two new systems will be introduced officially to the Asia market. The new DDA 20000 system comes with the new patented technology of “Direct Die Attach” with only one place system, a 30% smaller footprint and a record UPH of up to 20000. First test results show that the overall die attach costs can be reduced by more than 30% with still outstanding quality and highest reliability.
With the new Personalization Line PL light, Mühlbauer follows the increasing demand for RFID and NFC products that include special printed features, serialization printing and unique encoding. The PL light thereby constitutes an entry level RFID Personalization System that is designed for low to medium volumes. A throughput of up to 18,000 UPH can be achieved. The process includes UHF chip encoding as well as printing variable data for graphical personalization. Both, reel-to-reel as well as ticket-to-ticket usage is possible. A maximum width of 110 mm can be processed. With its modular design other processes can be integrated on request. The small footprint and the high resolution printer, makes the PL light an ideal solution for your company.
Finally the CL light as additional RFID converting unit besides the well matured CL 60000 will be available for demonstration runs for our RFID clients.
