TEMA PI-LID
Print Inspection for Integration in lid printers
TEMA PI-LID has especially been designed for print inspection in lid printers. The compact vision box includes a line-scan camera and an LED double-lighting unit. Different lid shapes like round, oval, or square can be inspected. Virtual rotation always ensures the 0-degree position of the lid for comparison with a reference image. Inspection criteria are color variations, out of register/offset, distorted print, stains, blobs, smear, voids, missing print, and surface defects like inhomogeneous substrate, scratches or blisters as far as visible in the camera image. Adaptations to different lid/print image formats are easily made by settings of the inspection software. TEMA PI-LID communicates with the PLC of the lid printer for the reject of defective parts.
