TEMA CCI-PRINT, Mühlbauer’s print inspection solution for caps, ends, and closures, tracks each inspection object from entering the inspection unit to the reject of a defective product. A suitable transport system which takes the caps/ends/closures from the production line and conveys them to the inspection unit clearly separated can be provided if required. The camera is automatically triggered when the inspection object is in the optimal position for picture acquisition. Virtual rotation ensures the 0 degree position of the cap/end/closure in the analysis image. Inspection criteria are color variations, out of register/offset, distorted print, stains, blobs, smear, voids, missing print, inhomogeneous substrate, and scratches or blisters as far as visible in the camera image. A defect signal initiates the reject. The reject process is separately monitored to ensure a 100% reliable inspection result.
