Quality Assurance
Quality assurance (QA) serves for verifying the correct functioning and interoperability of personalized documents. Beside the option of an automatic QA inside the personalization machine, personalized documents can also be manually inspected by a QA operator. MB INCAPE offers a special application for manually conducting random-sample or full tests of personalized ID documents.
Standard quality tasks are:
- Check MRZ
- Check chip data
- View IR and UV image
- Check BAC/SAC
- Read 2D barcode PDF417 and validate data structure
Quality requirements can be individually defined, allowing a QA operator, for instance, to mark documents with only minor optical defects as good in order to avoid needless rework or reproduction.
